Shipping

• Estimated Shipping Charges

We charge only the actual shipping costs (which are based on weight and / or dimensional weight and the destination zip code), plus a handling charge of $1.50 per order (The handling charge is reflected in the Estimated Shipping Charge). Please note that the shipping charge showing in the shopping basket is only an estimate.

Estimated shipping charges will be displayed in the shopping basket once you enter your shipping zip code and press "Recalculate".

The estimated shipping charges shown are based on UPS Ground Residential Rates and US Postal Service rates. (If there is no US Postal Service rate given for in the estimated shipping, then it is more cost effective for your order to be shipped via UPS). However, if you require your shipment be sent via the US Postal Service, please include a note about this in the Comments / More Information / Special Intructions box located on the "Billing Information" page of the checkout. We will contact you prior to shipping the order with the exact shipping charges.

If the actual shipping charges are significantly higher than the estimated charges, we will contact you for your approval prior to processing your order.

Should you require exact shipping charges prior to us processing the order, please include a note about this in the Comments / More Information / Special Instructions box located on the "Billing Information" page of the checkout.

• General Shipping Information

Orders are normally shipped within 24 hours.

Our primary shipping carrier is UPS.

Our secondary carrier is the US Postal Service. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO and international will be shipped via the US Postal Service. Also, some "small" or "lightweight" orders may be sent via the US Postal Service. 

All aerosol products, such as Weaver's Stain, must be shipped via UPS Ground.

NC Basket Works, Inc. reserves the right to substitute the shipping carrier when necessary.

• UPS Shipping 

UPS Deliveries are made Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

The map below illustrates the number of business days for delivery to your location with UPS Ground (please note that a business day is Monday through Friday. Also, the day the order is shipped does not count as a business day).

Please note that the shipping charges showing in the Shopping Basket is only an Estimate.

NC Basket Works, Inc. reserves the right to change the shipping option selected, if we feel it is in the best interest of the customer or products.

UPS also offers: Next Day Air , 2nd Day Air and Three Day Select for an additional charge. Please contact us for a quote if you wish to use one of these services.

UPS Tracking 

Orders shipped via UPS will receive an e-mail confirming your order has been shipped and a direct link to the UPS package-tracking site.

UPS Insurance Charges 

Customers will be charged for insurance based upon the value of the order. These charges will be in addition to the estimated shipping charges shown in the shopping basket. See table below for insurance fees:

Value of order: $1.00 - $100.00        :   No Fee

Value of order: $101.00 - $299.00    :   $3.45

Value of order: Over $300.00           :    $3.45 + $1.15/each additional Hundred Dollars

UPS Address Corrections

UPS charges an address correction fee of $18.00. Please review your address for accuracy when entering it in the Billing Information Page. This fee will be passed onto the customer if the address is not correct.

• US Postal Service Shipping

Orders shipped via US Postal Service will be sent First Class/Priority Mail.

US Postal Service deliveries are made Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays.

All orders to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO and international will be shipped via the US Postal Service. Estimated shipping charges will not be correct. We will contact you with the actual shipping charges prior to processing your order.

Most orders that are sent via the US Postal Service are "small" or "lightweight". Any order that is over 12 pounds in weight will automatically be shipped via UPS. However, if you require your shipment be sent via the US Postal Service, please include a note about this in the Comments / More Information / Special Instructions box located on the "Billing Information" page of the checkout. We will contact you prior to shipping the order with the exact shipping charges.

US Postal Service Tracking

First Class and Priority Mail packages are trackable. But, there is no delivery guarantee.

US Postal Service Insurance Charges

Customers will be charged for insurance based upon the value of the order. These charges will be in addition to the estimated shipping charges shown in the shopping basket. See table below for insurance fees:

Value of order: $1.00 - $50              : No Fee (If shipped via Priority Mail)

Value of order: $50.00 - $99.99            : $2.80

Value of order: $100.00 - $199.00        : $3.50

All orders (other than international) with a value of over $200.00 will automatically be shipped via UPS.
