This basket was "born" out of a necessity. I needed a basket for our employee's restroom which could hold extra bathroom supplies. This basket fits nicely into a corner and is out of the way. I'm sure you can find many uses for it.
 

Materials
Bathroom Caddy Base Package
5/8" Flat Flat - spokes
3/8" Flat Flat - weavers
5/8" Braided Seagrass
3/16" Flat Oval - lashing
1/2" Flat Oval - rims
Seagrass - rim filler
1/4" Flat Flat - weavers dyed hunter green
Insta or Maxi Cure Glue

Cut 34 spokes each 9" long from 5/8" FF. Soak briefly. With the smooth side down, insert 1 spoke in each corner, 8 on each straight side, and 15 on the rounded front of the base - a total of 34. Because the spokes will be bent up immediately, I glued in all my spokes. Dry fit each spoke, then remove one at a time and glue it in. If the groove in your base is too narrow to insert the spokes, run sandpaper around the groove several time, and/or sand down the ends of each spoke.

Dampen the spokes briefly before upsetting them and weave straight up the following rows start and stop:

4 rows 3/8" FF

1 row 1/4" FF hunter green

1 row 5/8" braided seagrass

1 row 1/4" FF hunter green

4 rows 3/8" FF

Pack well before cutting and tucking the spokes. Rim with 1/2" FO, seagrass between rims, and lash with 3/16" FO. Attach the ball feet with the screws.
